Health and Safety Committee Training
We provide in-house health and safety committee training through a one-day package designed to upskill new committee members. This course is aligned with current legislation, regulations, and codes of practice. Where possible, we incorporate your specific procedures and forms to ensure the content is as relevant as possible for participants.
Committee members need to understand how the system operates, their responsibilities, and the responsibilities of the organisation they represent through their actions.
The main topics covered in the session are as follows:
- Legal obligations
- WHS responsibilities
- Risk management
- Consultation
- Incident management
- Contractor management
- Safety management system
- Human behaviour
We promote active participation from all attendees through engaging activities, case studies, and group discussions. The training session will run for five hours, with breaks additional, bringing the total time commitment to 6 hours (usually from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm). Participants will receive a copy of the presentation slides and workbook to use as a reference in the future.
