What is ISO45001 certification and do I need it?
Our certification preparation service helps your business manage the process of preparing and auditing for external ISO45001 Certification or guides you straight to best practice. ISO45001 is an International Standard outlining best practice guidance on the contents of an Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS). With the International Standard ISO45001 being adopted in Australia to emulate the structure of the quality and environment standards ISO9001 and ISO14001, certification shows that management is dedicated to the employment of safe work practices and systemic control of risks. This certification can often be a requirement in providing services and supplying goods to many different organisations.
Having a safety system built to ISO45001 standards, then implemented and third-party certified can give significant benefit to organisations, including:
- Safer workplace and reduced injury rates,
- Cheaper Workers’ Compensation insurance premiums,
- The ability to tender for large contracts with government e.g. Councils, and
